Important Announcement Regarding Danfoss FD83 Series Fittings

Danfoss has made the decision to remove the FD83 series fittings from all current distribution channels. As of February 21st, these fittings will only be available to OEM customers and through Danfoss direct. This marks a significant departure from their longstanding partnership with distribution channels like ours.

We have proudly served this brand for 75 years, standing by as it evolved through changes in ownership—from Hansen Manufacturing to Tuthill in the 1970s, Eaton Corporation in the late 2000s, and now Danfoss. This is the first time we have experienced a series being removed entirely from distribution and sold exclusively direct.

While this decision is not encouraging news for old and new customers who rely on these fittings for use in data center buildouts, we are exploring options to act as a liaison between Danfoss and you, creating a bridge to ensure you have direct access to these fittings.

Additionally, it is important to consider the rapidly changing landscape of the data center industry. Technologies such as direct liquid immersion cooling, cold plate cooling, and other advanced solutions are becoming increasingly prevalent. Emerging technologies, such as quantum computing and new chips by leading manufacturers like NVIDIA’s Blackwell B200 and H100 GPUs, are integrating onboard liquid cooling solutions reducing the need for external cooling solutions. These innovations reduce the need for external fittings like the FD83 series in certain applications, making them less relevant in modern data center environments. As these advancements gain traction, the reliance on fittings like the FD83 series is expected to decline. The technology in this field evolves quickly, and we are here to help guide you through these changes.

• Existing Inventory: After February 7th, we will no longer restock these fittings. Availability will be limited to current inventory.
