Connect-Under-Pressure Couplings
Danfoss Hansen FFCUP Series plug/male couplings are built around ISO 16028 interchange and use a flush face profile to limit fluid loss, reduce air inclusion, and support connect-under-pressure hydraulic service.
Connect-under-pressure flat face plug/male couplings
Danfoss Hansen FFCUP Series plug/male couplings are designed as an ISO 16028 standard interchange. The flush face profile helps prevent fluid loss during disconnection and limits air inclusion during connection for strong flow capability, while the integrated patented mechanism allows the FFCUP plug to connect to the matching socket/female half under residual pressure up to 350 bar (5075 psi).

Connect Under Pressure
The integrated CUP system allows the plug/male half to connect to a matching socket/female half against residual pressure up to the catalog-rated level.
Flush Face Performance
Flush face geometry helps minimize fluid loss on disconnect and reduce air inclusion during reconnect, supporting clean hydraulic service.
ISO 16028 Interchange
The FFCUP profile follows ISO 16028 interchange and uses the same flat face coupling family approach seen across Hansen dry break hydraulic service points.
Corrosion and Durability
A high-resistance finish and optional color identification accessories support demanding hydraulic service conditions and field line management.
Seal and Accessory Support
Standard seal material is NBR + AU, with alternative end connection options and matching identification accessories available across the series.
Compliance
The series is designed and manufactured in line with the applicable PED Article 4.3 requirements for this style of hydraulic coupling.

Important connection guidance
- The plug/male half can connect against residual pressure up to 350 bar / 5075 psi when paired with sockets/females that meet ISO 16028 requirements.
- Only the plug side should be under pressure during connect-under-pressure use.
- The socket/female half should not be pressurized during connection.
- Disconnection while under pressure is not allowed for this series.
- Connection under pressure can take a few seconds, so connection force must be maintained through that interval.
