Hansen ST SeriesStraight-Through Couplings

Danfoss Hansen ST Series quick disconnect couplings are designed for applications where minimum pressure drop is required and valving is not needed. The smooth-bore, straight-through design supports free flow of liquid or gas across versatile fluid transfer systems.

Hansen ST Series straight-through coupling
Series Overview

Straight-through couplings for low restriction flow

The ST Series uses a ball-latching mechanism and a smooth, valveless bore to support high flow with low restriction. Standard seal material is nitrile (NBR), and standard body materials include brass, steel, and 303 stainless steel depending on the connection style and part family.

  • Designed where minimum pressure drop is important and valving is not needed
  • Smooth-bore profile supports free flow of liquid or gas
  • Available in NPTF, BSPP, and hose stem end connections

Key Features

Ball-Latching Design

The ST Series uses a ball-latching mechanism with a smooth internal bore, making it a strong fit for systems that prioritize easy flow over shutoff valving.

Multiple Material Options

Standard body materials include brass, steel, and 303 stainless steel, giving the series flexibility for general fluid transfer, hydraulic, and washdown-oriented service.

Connection Flexibility

NPTF, BSPP, and hose stem end connections are available across the ST range, along with dust-cap and dust-plug accessories for protected service.

Flow Data

High-flow, low-restriction performance

The ST Series flow data is built around straight-through performance with hydraulic oil at 100°F. Across the family, rated flow ranges from smaller transfer points up through large-bore, high-flow service for demanding liquid and gas movement.

  • Catalog-rated flow spans from 10 lpm / 2.7 gpm up to 3,131 lpm / 827 gpm
  • Designed specifically where minimum pressure drop is required
  • Smooth bore supports unrestricted transfer compared with valved couplings
Applications

Common ST applications

  • Fluid transfer
  • Chemical handling
  • Food and beverage systems
  • Injection molding
  • Marine systems
  • Medical equipment
  • Pressure washing and steam cleaning

Couplings up to and including 25 mm nominal diameter are designed under Article 4.3 of PED 2014/68/EU. Larger nominal diameters follow Module A requirements and should not be used to convey unstable gases.
