Danfoss Hansen Gas-Mate Series one-way shut-off safety couplings are designed for connecting gas fired devices and related gas system applications without the need for wrenches.
Gas shut-off couplings for fuel gas connections
Danfoss Hansen Gas-Mate Series couplings are built as one-way shut-off safety couplings for gas fired devices and gas system connections. The series is designed for quick connection and disconnection without tools, while the socket automatically shuts off when the plug is removed to help stop gas flow.

Connection Design
- Connect and disconnect without the need for wrenches
- Automatic shut off when the plug is removed from the socket
Safety Function
- Heat sensitive plug allows the socket valve to close in case of fire
- Designed to help stop gas flow when the plug is released
- The plug uses a soldered block to activate the socket valve, and if exposed to fire the solder melts so the valve can close and help prevent fire from moving farther down the line
Materials
- Standard body material: Brass
- CSA design certified for approved gas service conditions
Temperature & Use
- Tested for -40°F to 200°F (-40°C to 93°C) in 3/8, 1/2, 3/4, and 1 sizes
- 1-1/4 size is rated for indoor use only

Capacity is based on natural gas having a specific gravity of 0.64 and heat capacity of 1,000 BTU per cubic foot. Inlet pressure is 12 inches water column and pressure drop is 0.3 inch water column.

CSA design certified, in both the United States and Canada, for natural gas, manufactured gas, liquified petroleum, and LP gas-air mixtures at pressures not in excess of 1/2 psig (3.5 kPa).
